MILWAUKEE, WI- Milwaukee Tool continues to expand their Hand Tool offering with the addition of Bolt Cutters. Available in 14” and 24”, the new bolt cutters are designed with forged steel blades and bolts that won’t loosen – translating to more cuts and longer life. Also included in the lineup are two adaptable bolt cutters with POWERMOVE™ Extendable Arms, allowing the user to extend the arms for more power and versatility.       

“When it comes to bolt cutters, the durability of the jaws and bolts are everything to the user. Today’s solutions have blades that commonly wear or pit, impairing cut performance, and their pivot bolts have a tendency to loosen and fall out resulting in premature tool failure,” said Derek Rose, Sr. Product Manager for Milwaukee Tool. “To address these needs, we designed our new bolt cutters with forged steel blades that are custom heat treated for maximum durability and feature a bolt lock that keeps the fasteners tight so the user can stay productive.”

To achieve more power and leverage during a cut, users often step up to a larger sized bolt cutter or use a cheater bar. In addition, many users use their hips or shoulders to stabilize the tool so a second hand can help close the tool or hold the cut material. This need for large additional tools and additional maneuvering can be a productivity killer. To alleviate this frustration, the Adaptable Bolt Cutters – 14” and 24” – have POWERMOVE™ Extendable Arms for up to 30% more cutting power. In addition, all the new bolt cutters are tether-ready.
