Our M18 FUEL™ 18 lbs SDS MAX Demolition Hammer delivers best-in-class performance for chipping floors, walls, and columns. Powered by the POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence, this demo hammer hits harder than an 18lb corded, delivering 11.4 ft-lbs (15.5 J) of impact energy. This hammer gives you the productivity and power you'll need without the hassles of cords, tripping hazards, running generators, and outlet chasing. This demo hammer is designed for controlled demolition, utilizing enhanced features such as multiple speed settings, chisel lock, and AVS Anti-Vibration System to reduce user hand fatigue. Kitted with the M18 FUEL™ REDLITHIUM™ FORGE™ HD12.0 battery, the hammer removes 1/3 ton per charge. For increased efficiency on the jobsite, the solution is fully equipped with VACLINK™ Wireless Dust Control and provides users the ability to activate the dust extractor directly from the tool. Additionally, this cordless demo hammer is compatible with ONE-KEY™ to track and manage inventory. What are the key applications I can complete with the M18 FUEL™ 18 lb SDS MAX Demolition Hammer?
A:
The M18 FUEL™ Demolition Hammer can complete small to medium sized chipping (4" thick or less) and tile scraping jobs, for both walls and floors. The M18 FUEL™ Demolition Hammer can also complete ground rod driving in soft soil types.

What is the weight class for the M18 FUEL™ 18 lb SDS MAX Demolition Hammer?

The M18 FUEL™ Demolition Hammer falls into the 15-18 lb. demo hammer class range.
Q:
What is the difference between this new demo hammer and a SDS MAX Rotary Hammer?
A:
Rotary hammers do both drilling and chipping where a demolition hammer only has the capability to do chipping. This new demolition hammer is in line with the power of our M18 FUEL™ 1-3/4" SDS MAX Rotary Hammer, however, it is optimized for chipping.

What accessories can I use with this tool?
A:
Any SDS MAX accessories can be used with this tool. The new SDS MAX Side Load Ground Rod Driver is also compatible with this demo hammer (48-62-4070, sold seperately).

What is VACLINK™ Wireless Dust Control?
A:
VACLINK™ is an integrated wireless dust control technology that allows compatible tools and dust extractors to connect to each other via Bluetooth, providing users the ability to activate the dust extractor directly from the tool via the tool trigger for increased efficiency.
Q:
What are my options for dust management?
A:
This demo hammer can be used with the SDS MAX Chipping Boot (5318-DE, sold separately) which can provide OSHA compliance when used with a Table 1 Compliant dust extractor. A water supply can also be used to spray the area someone is chipping to mitigate dust.
Q:
How do I rotate the bit if my chisel is not at the right angle?
A:
Make sure the mode select knob on top is pointing to the rotate icon (left or right). Grab the area of the chuck that has ridges and an arrow icon and rotate in the direction of the arrow until in the desired position. Turn the mode select knob back into chipping mode (straight forward). See manual for further instructions.
