The cordless chainsaw meets the performance, durability, and ergonomic needs of landscape maintenance, and power utility professionals, and the installed M18™ user. The MILWAUKEE® POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor maintains speed under heavy loads without bogging down to outperform small gas engines and higher voltage systems. REDLINK PLUS™ intelligence ensures maximum performance and protection from overload, overheating, and over-discharge. The M18™ REDLITHIUM™ High Output HD12.0 Battery delivers unmatched run-time in all applications. M18 FUEL™ technology allows the battery-powered chainsaw to reach full throttle in under 1 second providing ultimate control and productivity.

Yes, the M18 FUEL™ 14" and 16" Chainsaw are compatible with both 14" and 16" bars and chains. For best performance, we recommend sticking with these sizes. You can upgrade or swap to the 14” guide bar (part number 48-16-2756) and 14” chain (49-16-2749), both available as accessories. The 2727 model is also sold in a 14" configuration (2727-20C/21C) for added flexibility.

All M18 FUEL™ Chainsaws are designed to work with standard bar and chain oil.

Yes, the M18 FUEL™ 14" and 16" Chainsaw work with all M18™ batteries. For the best power and runtime, we recommend using M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ or FORGE™ XC8.0 and HD12.0 batteries. These deliver the ideal balance of performance for demanding applications.

What Size Round File Do I Need To Sharpen The Chain On The M18 FUEL™ 14" and 16" Chainsaw?

The M18 FUEL™ 14" and 16" Chainsaw use an 11/64" (4.5 mm) round file and holder for sharpening. For detailed instructions, refer to the operator’s manual. Improper sharpening can increase the risk of kickback. Our 11/64” Round File for Saw Chain 6 PK (49-16-2885) is available as a separate accessory.
