Milwaukee® Rounds Out Lineup of Winter Dipped, Polyurethane, and Nitrile Gloves

MILWAUKEE, WI – Milwaukee Tool continues to expand their glove line, now offering a full range of 1 through 5 ANSI* Cut Level Rated gloves for their Winter Dipped, Polyurethane and Nitrile styles.

“Historically, users have had to make a choice between cut level and dip material,” says Austin Dorman, Product Manager for Milwaukee Tool. “Milwaukee is dedicated to providing a full range of Cut Level Gloves so that users have the right protection for their application to get the job done safely, while also having the ability to choose between several materials and styles according to their preference.”

Winter Dipped Glove Expansion

Adding to the current line of Cut Level 1 and 3 Winter Dipped Gloves, Milwaukee® will now offer these gloves in Cut Levels 2, 4, and 5.

Milwaukee’s Winter Dipped Gloves are designed to provide ultimate warmth, all–day comfort, and best-in-class dexterity for handling small objects. The insulated winter work gloves utilize a warm acrylic terry liner to maintain warmth in the coldest outdoor conditions. They have a secure dual thermal liner to comfortably keep user’s hands warm without the liner separating after extended use on the job site. The Cut Level 2 & 4 Gloves feature a 15-gauge nylon outer liner resulting in high dexterity fingertips and breathability, and the Cut Level 5 Gloves feature a 13-gauge nylon outer liner. These insulated gloves are ideal for material handling, demolition, wire stripping, pipe threading, general-purpose, and remodeling applications. Cut Level 2 is constructed of ½ double-dipped latex and Cut Level 4 & 5 have ¾ double-dipped latex palm microfinish for water resistance to provide best-in-class grip performance in the coldest temperatures.

Polyurethane Dipped Glove Expansion

Adding to the current line of Cut Level 2, 3 and 5 Polyurethane Dipped Gloves, Milwaukee will now offer a full line including Cut Level 1 and 5.

Milwaukee’s Polyurethane Dipped Gloves are designed to provide a better fit for all-day comfort. The cut-resistant gloves feature SMARTSWIPE™ touchscreen compatible fingertips. The Cut Level 1 gloves are knit with 15-gauge for better dexterity when handling small objects, and the Cut Level 5 gloves are knit with 15-gauge. These hi-vis gloves will come in sizes ranging from S-XXL so users can find the perfect fit, and they feature color ID bands for easy identification of cut levels.

Nitrile Dipped Glove Expansion

Adding to the current line of Cut Level 1, 3 and 5 Nitrile Dipped Gloves, Milwaukee will now offer a full line including Cut Levels 2 and 4.

Milwaukee’s Nitrile Dipped Gloves are designed to provide ultimate durability and all–day comfort. These cut-resistant gloves have a reinforced nitrile coating between the thumb and index finger for enhanced durability in high wear points. The SMARTSWIPE™ index fingertips provide users with full access to touchscreen devices without removing the gloves, and the textured nitrile palm provides users with best-in-class grip performance. The Cut Level 2 gloves are knit with 15-gauge material for better dexterity when handling small objects. These gloves are made of a nylon and lycra blend to provide all-day comfort and wick away moisture.

*ANSI Cut Level: In 2016 the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) released a new edition known as the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard. This standard provided new testing methods, including a new scale to determine cut scores. The standard increased the cut score scale from 1 to 9 to provide more consistency between levels and with the European (EN 388) ratings. Each of these 9 cut score levels are determined by the amount of force the glove can withstand. For example, ANSI/ISEA Level 1 gloves are classified for protection from lighter weight forces, and ANSI Level 9 gloves are classified for protection from heavier forces.
